Hey everyone,

My name is Sydney, and I'm just now starting slim in 6. I have been on and off the "Low Carb" diet through out the entire summer, and it has really worked (I have lost about 30 to 35 lbs) but I just feel I need something new and fresh.

And the slim in 6 program really got my attention, especially all those sucess stories.

I have successfully finished today without stuffing my face(I'm going to try and see if I can hold out for tomorrow as well- the 2 day fast.). And on monday it will be time to pop that dvd in. I hope I can do the whole workout without giving up.

Anyways...I'm a real perfectionist, and I want to do this diet by the book (to get the best results.). I'm even gonna do one of the express diet plans (The 6 day plan) after the 6 week program. Considering I have never done this before, does anyone with slim in 6 experience think I would be demanding too much if I was hoping to drop several sizes?

I'm a size 12 now, and 5'6. I'm around 165-170 lbs. It would just make my day if I could be a size 8 or 9 when this is all over and done with.

Tell me if I'm shouldn't hold my breath. ;_;

It definitely IS possible. Especially if you're good at sticking to the diets and the routines just like they say to do. As for the diet. Stick to the top 2 (and you can also have some from 3, but be careful with that one.) tiers.

As for the 6 day express diet, they recommend that you do it during the 6 week program, not after.

And if you can't complete the fast, don't feel bad. Most people can't. They get headaches, nausea, etc.

As for the exercise program, just be careful and listen to your body. If it burns, it's working. If it hurts, stop or change the way you're doing something.

dream6: slim in six

Hi, I hope you don't mind me checking out your journal . I have been looking for some motivation. I tryed slim in six and yes you can see results fast ! I went from a tight 16 to a tight 14 in a week or two.
Unfortunatley I haven't completed the program yet, I hurt my new at a local show and I am working on strengthening it. This is a Great program.. How are you doing with it? You can never be to hard on yourself though and yes you must listen to your body .
60-120 min. a day was a lot for me and by the end of the week my body had had it. If you listen to your body, you will avoid the burn out. Good Luck and wish me luck as well. I'm not following the diet part but I do eat pretty well and I want to get back up to working out 4-6 days a week.

I love support, I rarely ever get a message to my journal, so I'm happy to hear from you!

But to tell you the truth- my slim in six diet unfortunately went down the drain several weeks ago. ;_; Sad, really.

But with this little reply of yours, you have possibly motivated me to start all over again- anew. Maybe not the diet (Going from a low carb diet to the Slim in Six diet is rather strange. Eating carbs makes me feel like I'm perpetually cheating- and then I start to think more about "bad" types of food; such as mcdonalds and taco bell. Haha.) But definitely the workout was really worthwhile- while I did it anyways. After the first 3 times I did it, I could hardly walk up a set of stairs! ^_^ Very pathetic-but hey! no pain, no gain, right?

I'm now between 155 and 160, a week ago I was at my lowest weight of 152- but I lost that all time record as the week progressed and I started to eat really unhealthily. I need to start controlling the cravings.

Anyways, I just thought I would reply to your comment. ^_^ Please feel free to give me your stats- hopefully you are also still on track, unlike me.

Yes motivation is always good.
I had to laugh when I read you post, cause that is exactly how it is. Stairs ha ,yes pain . I remember me trying to work out and by that Friday it was hard to get my legs up to do the hands up knees up....:) Hey I tryed and I still use it on
a reg. basis, just not everyday, not yet anyway...

I don't know how anyone could do an hour or two of hard core working out, everyday without that already being part of they life .

That is something you have to build up and that does not happen in 3-5 days. I really do love the workout, but yes you have to pace yourself and you have to listen to your body.

Add me to your friends list and maybe we can motivate each other.
Humm my stats . Well I've been all over the board since I was twelve and unfortunately I have trouble keeping it . I've been working at it all year and it's been slow going.

I started in Jan. @ 221 and a tight 20 Now I aprox.183lbs and a tight 14. I would love to be a 7/8 again but realistically a 9/10 or a 12 would be more like it .
Just need to keep plugging away!

Three years ago I did good and I maintain for a year or so at the same weight. Then I got sick with some arthritis thing and couldn't workout no more , it hurt just to walk , I went at that point from 175 at a tight 12 back to the 221 /20.

I had started at 230lb 4/5years ago and started working out hard everyday. I never did break that 175 but I did go from a size 16 to a 12 at 175. ???

I'd love to be 138 to 147 and keep that the rest of my life.
All depends how I lose it . At 26 I couldn't break 175 because I worked out everyday with running ,the firm, weights, and the body for life program. If I leave the weights alone (which I pretty much have to or I get
joint pain)I will be able to get down lower.
I've been trying to keep up with the cardio....
